Cellar in the sea
In July 2010 divers had a happy surprise when they found the world`s oldest champagne in a ship wreck in the Åland archipelago. After at least 150 years on the bottom of the sea, the drink still tastes excellent!
Since 2011 we on Silverskär also store our champagne in the sea where the conditions have proven to be perfect – it is dark and the temperature is constant. Our storage – La Grand Cage – weighs 370 kg and holds 450 bottles.
